Privacy Policy for TV to Phone: Touch & Mirror
Last Updated: August 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how "TV to Phone: Touch & Mirror" ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring your personal information is kept safe.
1. Zero Personal Data Collection Policy
The App is built with a privacy-first architecture.
- We do NOT collect, store, record, harvest, or transmit any personal information.
- We do NOT collect personal identifiers (such as your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or location).
- We do NOT record, capture, or store your screen streaming video, keystrokes, text typed into keyboards, or touch gestures on any remote servers.
2. Local Network Communication & Device Permissions
To provide wireless screen mirroring and TV remote control features, the App requires specific device permissions and uses local network protocols:
Local Wi-Fi Network & Internet (
ACCESS_WIFI_STATE,ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE,INTERNET):- Used exclusively to discover and communicate with your Android TV / Google TV on your local area network (LAN).
- Video and control packets are transmitted peer-to-peer over your local Wi-Fi router. No video or control stream ever leaves your local network.
Connected Device Foreground Service (
FOREGROUND_SERVICE,FOREGROUND_SERVICE_CONNECTED_DEVICE):- Used to maintain an active, uninterrupted wireless streaming session with your connected TV while you multitask or switch apps.
- A persistent, user-visible notification with a "Disconnect" action is displayed while mirroring is active and is removed immediately upon disconnection.
Post Notifications (
POST_NOTIFICATIONS):- Used on Android 13+ to display the active mirroring status notification and quick disconnect action in your notification tray.
3. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App uses Google AdMob to display banner, interstitial, and native advertisements to support development. Google AdMob may collect and process certain non-personal device information subject to Google's Privacy Policy:
- Advertising ID (Google Play Advertising ID / AD_ID)
- Approximate location (IP-based, country/city level)
- Crash logs, diagnostics, and ad interaction metrics

4. Open-Source Attribution
This application uses code and protocol components from Genymobile Scrcpy, licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0. Scrcpy is free, open-source software designed for secure screen display and control.
5. Children's Privacy
Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
6. Security of Your Information
Because all communication is conducted directly between your mobile device and your TV over your private local network, your screen stream and control signals are protected by your home Wi-Fi network's security (WPA2/WPA3).
