This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application Gamepad for Android TV & Remote ("the Application"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting any information processed through your use of the Application.
Summary
We do not collect or store any personal identification data on external servers. All Bluetooth communication operates directly between your mobile phone and your target Smart TV or Computer.
1. Information We Collect and Process
A. Device Identification & Bluetooth Connection Data
To function as a wireless Bluetooth HID Gamepad and Consumer Remote, the Application interacts with nearby Bluetooth devices. We process local device MAC addresses and names solely to establish connection sessions. This data remains on your local device and is never uploaded to any external server.
B. Location Information
On older versions of Android (Android 11 and below), Android OS system architecture requires apps to request Location permissions (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) to discover nearby Bluetooth devices. The Application does NOT track, record, or store your physical geographical location.
C. Haptic Feedback
The Application uses vibration capabilities (VIBRATE) locally to provide tactile touch responses when pressing buttons.
2. Third-Party Services & Advertising
The Application uses Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK to serve advertisements and gather GDPR consent where legally required.
- Google AdMob: Serves banner, native, interstitial, and app open ads. Google AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as Advertising ID / AAID) and non-personal diagnostic logs to deliver personalized or non-personalized ads.
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP): Manages user privacy consent preferences in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and ePrivacy Directive.

3. Children's Privacy
The Application is designed for general audiences and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play Families Policy. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13 years of age.
4. Security
We value your trust in using our Application. Since all Bluetooth HID controller transmissions occur strictly between paired local hardware devices over standard Bluetooth profiles, your keypresses and controls are secure and isolated.
5. Your Rights and Choices
- You can manage or revoke Bluetooth and Location permissions at any time via your device settings.
- You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads via your device's Google settings.
- EU/EEA users can update their GDPR privacy consent preferences at any time within the Application setup settings.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. You are advised to review this page occasionally for any changes. Any updates become effective immediately upon posting.
