TvRemote: Remote for Tv is designed with privacy in mind. We do not require you to create an account or provide personal identifying information (such as your name, phone number, or physical address) to use the app.
- Local Network Information: The app accesses your local Wi-Fi network state (`ACCESS\_WIFI\_STATE`, `CHANGE\_WIFI\_MULTICAST\_STATE`, `INTERNET`) solely to discover, connect to, and send remote control commands to your Smart TV.
- Local Device Storage: Paired TV information (such as TV device names and IP addresses) is stored locally on your device using encrypted local storage. This data is never transmitted to our servers or external third parties.
- Audio Data (Voice Search): If you use the voice search feature, microphone access (`RECORD\_AUDIO`) is used strictly in real-time to stream your voice command directly to your connected Smart TV. We do not store or transmit your voice recordings to any external server.
2. Third-Party Services and Ads
Our application may utilize third-party SDKs to serve advertisements and analyze app performance. These third-party services may collect non-personal device identifiers (such as Advertising ID) according to their respective privacy policies:

3. Permissions Used by the App
- `INTERNET` \& `ACCESS\_NETWORK\_STATE`: Required to communicate with your Smart TV over Wi-Fi.
- `ACCESS\_WIFI\_STATE` \& `CHANGE\_WIFI\_MULTICAST\_STATE`: Required for mDNS/SSDP local TV discovery.
- `VIBRATE`: Provides haptic feedback when pressing remote buttons.
- `WAKE\_LOCK`: Keeps the connection active while communicating with your TV.
- `POST\_NOTIFICATIONS`: Required on Android 13+ to send connection status and notifications.
- `RECEIVE\_BOOT\_COMPLETED`: Used to restore your scheduled power alarms locally on your device.
4. Data Security
We implement security best practices to protect the information stored locally on your device. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
5. Children's Privacy
Our application does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can immediately delete it.
